Formerly Colonial Store Limited, now Stefania's Fashion Ltd, given its name recalling British rule, has obvious (historic) allure for a Brit abroad. The name is a firm part of this store’s heritage, even if its wares have changed to suit various clientele over the hundred plus years it’s been trading. As the sign says, originally located on St Paul’s Street in Malta’s gem of a capital Valletta, Colonial Store lied just up from imposing Grand Harbour, it’s been a retail business since 1882, starting out as a general store – often called a ‘bazaar’ in Victorian times; even today you come across the word on old stores in Malta. It then became a stationers before Stefania Vella opened it in late 2012 as an artisan food store subtitled ‘Treats with a Passion’.
October 10, 2014, Stefania re-introduced her passion of intimate gourmet, creating a concept outlet just off the main square of the quaint village of Attard. Stefania’s Sweet Boutique was an interesting combination of a specialized gallery, a clothes boutique and art gallery at 13, Triq Sant’Anna Attard.
Over the years, Stefania concentrated more on fashion and today has one of the most renowned fashion boutiques in Malta. Housed in a 250-year-old village core house in Attard, Stefania knows her stock well, but more than just to tells sales story; she is passionate about the brands and the service she gives to her clients. “Sales go up and down, service stays forever” says Stefania.
October 6, 2017, 3 years down the line, a further expansion with the opening of a flag ship boutique in the core village of Attard. The same concept adopted, a 320-year-old house converted into a luxury boutique offering the sensation of a friendliness atmosphere and cordiality.
Stefania Collezioni is customer-centric because we care about the individual and their personal needs. We understand that no two customers are alike, and thus offer customization.
"We did an amazing thing, and we're going to keep doing amazing things" says Stefania.
